UNION ELECTIONS: Machiavelli emerges, JOE, Goklet & Bezaleel lost
Elections into the Students’ Union Government was one that will not dissipate easily in the minds of students and political observers within the college community. With heightened expectations, the election which saw three presidential candidates aspiring for the post of the union president eventually saw Alalade Felix aka Machiavelli emerged President with the total votes of 1,204 beating Adeboye Excel Adetoye and Ajibade Adegboyega with 73 and 529 votes respectively.


Other winners are Aromolaran Adeyinka to the post of the PRO and Alafe Saheed aka Goje emerged as the Union’s Social director. According to statements from the ISUEC chairman, the swearing in is expected to hold on Wednesday, 4th February 2015.  

New Press Group joins Grammaticus.
The college has received the birth of a new press organization, Voice of the Masses. There have been posters and notifications around the campus community heralding the start of the VOM which has been branded ‘fearless writers.’

‘Iron lady’ Adeyeye returns as College DP
The College Deputy Provost Mrs. Adeyeye defeated Dr. Akanmu with 34 to 33 votes to reemerge as the College DP. She is expected to deputize the College Provost, Dr. S.K Adegoke for the next 2years.


COEASU begins Warning Strike

College of Education Academic Staff Union on Tuesday, 3rd Feb. started a 2day warning strike to press home their demands. A mass protest will be held tomorrow within the college premises by members of the Union.
